The story The Owls of El Centro was published in American Fiction Volume 17, an anthology of New Rivers Press on November 1, 2019.
Volume 17 was edited by Andre Dubus Award winner and Pushcart Prize nominated author Bruce Pratt. Past judges and editors of American Fiction include Anne Tyler, Raymond Carver, Tobias Wolff, Joyce Carol Oates, Tim O’Brien, Alan Davis and Charles Baxter, among others.
